Purti: from the family table to the App Store

Purti is a folk card game from Western Georgia. People play it at the dacha, after a feast, in the yard with neighbours. The rules take a minute to explain and a match lasts about ten minutes, yet there is more tactics in it than it seems: whoever keeps track of the cards played takes the ten of diamonds more often.

We wanted the mobile version to feel like a real table. So in the game you can:

  • find opponents online in seconds — two, three or four players, including 2 vs 2;
  • invite friends to a room by code;
  • practise against bots of three levels and take the tutorial;
  • trade phrases and emoji at the table — the bots do it too.

The game launches on iPhone first, in English, Russian and Georgian. It is going through the final checks before the App Store release. We will post here as soon as it is out.

Tinkerlight lights up

Hi! We are Tinkerlight, a small game studio from Moscow.

The name joins two words. To tinker is to fiddle, craft and polish. Light is what brings people to one table in the evening. Hence the studio mark: a letter "t" whose crossbar is a glowing spark.

We make games people want to play together and keep to simple rules: no real-money betting, no pay-to-win, as little player data as possible. Our first game is Purti. The next ones are already on the workbench.
